Horrifying

today's drawing class is pretty harsh. today's class was on human figure and when i entered the class this morning, there was an old man. he introduced himself as mr chee and said he will be our model today. and that moment, i went "oh, crap... this ain't gonna be a good day".

as more of us entered the class, the old man started to strip off! i turned the other direction, hoping he wouldn't drop his pants. it's bad enough that you have to draw an old man, but a NAKED old man was simply too much. i would need to get a set of new eyes after this class. thankfully, he stopped when all was left was his short shorts. talk about consolation prize >.<"" after that, mr goh taught us how to draw the human figure within 10 minutes. and then he said "ok class, now you draw the model. the model will do one pose for 4 minutes, and then he will change to another pose." ONLY FOUR FREAKING MINUTES?!?!?! WHAT THE (censored). mr goh continued, "oh yes, four minutes is a LONG TIME you know? and the oscar award goes to...

after that you will be given 3 minutes, 2 and followed by 1 minute and lastly 30seconds. you start now."

i was like "shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhitttttttttttttt". we didn't even get the chance to practice to draw and he expected us to DRAW A MODEL!?!??! and for the first 2 poses, it was excruciating. he did weird poses and THANK GOD mr goh noticed that some of us needed to practice on HOW TO DRAW THE HUMAN STRUCTURE FIRST. so he told the old man to stop counting down and he let us draw the basic four angles of the body. without counting down! :D

but poor vino. she was struggling abit on the structures so instead of drawing the model, she was practicing on her own. and the old man couldn't stop ranting at her. "look at the model, don't look at the book all the time". she explained her situation to him but as an old man, i guess he forgot what she told him and he later reprimanded her again. we haven't even mastered the structures and he was already asking her to draw his fingers!!

after lunch and much frustration was released, we had to draw the old man again. we were given 2hours to complete it and hand it in. i had a weird angle from where i was sitting, heh. and today, i finally learn what "foreshortening" is, zzz...

i didn't care about the marks anymore. i just simply had fun drawing my distorted plump old man. and went home in the rain and slept for 3 hours as i didn't get much sleep last night... or more like the whole week... hmm... dinner time!!!
